Who can enter the Bright July competition?
Any Australian family. Parents or guardians enter on behalf of their household.
How do I enter?
First, make a pledge as a family and write it down together, a simple shared commitment for the month. Then submit a weekly entry using the form on this page. Sharing on social with #BrightJuly is encouraged but not required, for private entries, just provide a caption and a screenshot of your private post (screenshot optional).
How are entries judged?
Entries are judged, not randomly drawn, based on creativity, authentic family participation, alignment with the Bright July mission, storytelling, and the most creative outdoor journey.
Can I enter privately without posting on social media?
Yes. For private entries, just provide a caption and a screenshot of your private post (screenshot optional) via the entry form. The #BrightJuly hashtag is encouraged but not required.
Can I submit more than once?
Yes. You're encouraged to submit a new entry each week of the campaign.
When are winners announced?
Weekly winners are announced the Monday after each Tuesday 5pm AEST deadline: Mon 13 Jul (Week 1), Mon 20 Jul (Week 2), Mon 27 Jul (Week 3) and Mon 3 Aug (Week 4).
Is there a cost to join?
No. Bright July is free for every family.
